..and the sermon i offer to you today

In the larger scheme of things
what does it matter to God (or whomever you bow to) if your
phone isn't charged enough
if the clutter remains
for one more day
if the one important email
is buried between thousands.
Have you loved today?
Did you let go of the anger
and pray for peace?
Have you opened your heart enough
to receive your own
vulnerability?

Remind yourself today
that the trivial can wait for you to take the extra breath.
And in that moment
dare to acknowledge the sweet spot
of your own presence.
